kerberos questions

animal cremation questions

These are common questions from our clients. If you don't find what you are looking for here never hesitate to call or email us. We are here for you around the clock and will be happy to help you with anything - Kerberos.

How do I order your services?

You can order cremation in several ways. The easiest is to fill out our online order form on the website. After submitting the form, we will contact you immediately by phone and agree on the further procedure - especially when and where we will pick up your pet, or whether you will bring it. If you prefer a more personal contact, you can also call us at any time and we will deal with your order over the phone. Alternatively, we can also arrange to meet you in person at our office in Strasnice. We are flexible and will adapt to what suits you best.

Do I have to fill out an order online?

You don't have to, but we recommend it. Online ordering is not compulsory - as mentioned above, cremation can also be arranged by phone or in person. However, filling in the form on the web has its advantages: you have enough time to think through all the details and choose the services you want (e.g. any memorial items from our e-shop, attendance at the ceremony, etc.). At the same time, we will receive all the necessary information in writing, which minimises the risk of misunderstandings. After you submit your online order, we will contact you anyway to clarify and confirm the dates, so you will not lose the personal touch. Do not hesitate to use Kerberos.

Can I also have my pet euthanized?

Yes, we can help you with this too. We provide euthanasia, or gentle euthanasia of the pet before death, in cooperation with verified veterinarians. We provide this service mainly in Prague and the surrounding area. If the most difficult situation arises and you decide to have your pet mercifully put to sleep, give us a call. We will recommend a sensitive and friendly veterinarian who can come to your home so that the pet can leave in a calm and familiar environment. Of course, we will then arrange for the subsequent transport of the body to the crematorium and everything you need to say goodbye to your pet with dignity.

Do I really only get my pet's ashes from you?

Yes, we guarantee it. Our family-owned company was founded, among other things, to provide pet owners with 100% assurance of individual cremation. In practice, this means that we cremate each pet separately - only one pet is ever in the cremation oven. Each pet is identified at all times by name and a unique order number. These details are listed on the tag next to the body and subsequently on the ashes, eliminating confusion. At the same time, we keep an accurate online record of all orders - we know where your pet's body or ashes are at any given moment. Thanks to these measures, you can be absolutely sure that the ashes you receive are actually from your pet.

How quickly will I receive the urn with the ashes?

As a standard, we are able to deliver the urn with your pet's ashes within 1-2 days of the cremation. The cremation itself takes approximately 1-2 hours (depending on the weight of the pet), after which the ashes must cool, undergo processing and be placed in the urn. Once everything is done, we will inform you (usually by SMS) that the urn is ready to be picked up or sent. In most cases, the client will receive the pet's ashes within a few days of receiving the pet. Should you be in a hurry to receive the urn, an express cremation service can be used on the day of receipt (for an additional fee), after which the ashes can be received even faster. We always try to accommodate your needs - we will discuss with you in advance your preferred method and time of urn delivery (in person or by transport).

Is it possible to be present at the cremation?

We offer this option, but please consider it carefully. We allow owners to be personally present during their pet's cremation process at our crematorium. However, in our experience, most people do not find it easy to go through such an experience. After consideration, many clients choose to keep the memory of their pet happy and full of life rather than watch the actual act of cremation. However, if you feel it is important for you to participate, we will make it possible. Attendance at the cremation must be arranged in advance (by phone or in person) so that we can confirm the date with you and make all the necessary arrangements. At a participatory cremation, you will have the opportunity to see your pet being placed in the cremation oven, and possibly remain for the duration of the burial. Our staff will be on hand to explain everything sensitively.

How can I say goodbye to my dog or cat?

We understand how important it is for the owner to be able to say goodbye with dignity. That is why we have a small ceremony room in Prague-Strašnice where you can say goodbye to your pet in peace before the cremation. This service is included in the price of the cremation (we do not charge anything extra for it). Please book the farewell by phone or in person in advance so that we can reserve a time for you and prepare everything you need. We will agree with you on a time that suits you and the process of the farewell - what kind of setting you want, whether you wish to bring, for example, a favourite pet toy, whether we should provide flowers, etc. We will give you privacy and plenty of time on site; it's a moment that belongs to you and your pet.

Can I come by your office in Strasnice anytime?

We are available 24 hours a day on the phone, but we always recommend a personal visit in advance. Our Prague office in Strasnice acts as a base for meeting clients and for farewell ceremonies. However, it may happen that all the staff are in the field at the moment (transporting pets, picking up clients, organizing cremation with participation, etc.). In order for us to give you 100% attention, it is best to call ahead to arrange a specific time to visit. We will certainly be happy to accommodate you - we understand that sometimes a personal meeting and consultation is irreplaceable.

When do I have to pay for cremation?

You can pay for our services in several ways, depending on what suits you. After completing your online order, you will receive an email with your order confirmation and payment details - so you can make your payment by bank transfer in advance. Some clients prefer to pay when the pet is handed over; with us it is possible to pay in cash when collecting the pet, or you can pay by card inour office in Strasnice (we have a payment terminal). It is important that the entire agreed amount must be paid before the urn with ashes is handed over. If you choose to pay by bank transfer but need the cremation to be done very quickly, you can send us proof of payment by email to speed things up.

When are you coming to get my pet?

We arrange a trip to your home (or to the vet) as soon as possible. In the area of Prague and surroundings we usually arrive within 2 hours from order confirmation. However, we always arrive the same day you order the pet to be taken away (this also applies to weekends and holidays, we operate 24/7). The specific time depends on the distance and our current workload - for example, in more remote regions outside of Prague it may take a little longer, but we always try to intervene as quickly as possible so that the pet does not have to stay at home longer than necessary.
